“I am a very optimistic man and only an optimistic man can bring optimism in the country.” — Narendra Modi
Narendra Modi swept to power with a thumping victory that India saw for a first time in three decades. His authenticity, connection with the youth of Indian origin worldwide, his knowledge about the Indian sentiments, traditions, needs, desires and aspirations have brought him enormous glory in the 2014 elections.
His optimism, confidence, and strength have finally paid off, since it has been declared that under his tutelage India will run until 2019. He is the new Prime Minister of India. In other words, the face of India, the hope of India, the ambition of India, and many people strongly believe that he will lead the country to its true destiny. It almost seems like the universe conspired in his favor, to give India a revolutionary leader that the country so desperately needed.
Since NAMO (short form for Narendra Modi) has won, most people of India believe that India has won. Democracy has gained, and soon India will be “Modi-fied.” “Modi-fication” and “Good days are here to stay” are some popular affirmations of Indians at the moment. Modi winning this election is very personal to many. It is like a part of them has won. Since, Mr. Prime Minister has been able to give hope to the people of India, and make them believe that scams of the past will not dampen the present or the future of the country. He thinks India has tremendous potential and will rise to the zenith in the years to come.
Narendra Modi is the man of the hour and the talk of the town in every which way. With the Sensex touching 25,000 points and Morgan Stanley predicting an emergence from stagflation for India, we suspect that this is just the beginning of the much-awaited Modi effect.
Out of everyone, most relieved are the children of India, since there is this wave about Modi and his humble beginnings. The severe pressure to perform at school level to get into elite institutions for a secure future has been discombobulated. Modi is the man, the model and the ideal behind this paradigm shift. His success indicates that the calling of the soul (passion) together with hard work, service to others and honesty are the actual gateway to true education and fulfillment.
Lastly, when Swami Vivekananda said, “What India wants is a new electric fire to stir up a fresh vigor in the national veins… many Indians collectively believe that it means the emergence of Narendra Modi as Prime Minister of India. Organization, coordination of wills and accumulation of power seem to be the pillars of Modi governance. For many, he still remains a polarizing figure. Time will tell if the skeptics embrace these Modi times. Let us hope that Mr. Prime Minister will truly deliver to live up to expectations of people, and present an A+ report card to the people of India in 2019.
His superior leadership and administration skills coupled up with servant leadership model make him the most appealing man in India.
